It starts out light-hearted but the talk gets serious—after all the antics and we put out the proverbial live broadcast fires!

My Friend, Filmmaker (Red Tide and releasing soon Literature to Larceny, Daniel McNamara joins us in the Cognitive Cave. Our guest is Brooklyn NY Actor Ronald “Ronnie” Graham. He plays a powerful role in Danny’s film Literature to Larceny, but just recently Ronnie wrote and starred in a short indie film “Curse of War” where he plays an Iraq War Veteran who returns home to Brooklyn suffering from severe PTSD. This is the real life of our war vet’s returning home with PTSD everyday. A day in the life of their reality. We talk briefly about addiction —again. It is hard not to when talking about our Vet’s these days. I ask Ronnie, “What’s it like diving into such dark roles, how do you prepare, how does it affect your real life and mental state? “Great acting is not as easy as Hollywood makes it look. It can be therapeutic form of expression, but it is also confusing to the mind and many times destructive physically and mentally-you can lose who you are as a person.”
