THE COGNITIVE RAMPAGE PODCAST with Host Adam Lowery Episode #59: Dr. Joan Collins
Dr. Joan Collins. a pioneer in the art and science of recovery and wellness
We are talking ADDICTION & RECOVERY. Hold on tight. Are they just treating symptoms and keeping your sick-fat-depressed-and polluted? As you know this is one of my activist missions here at the TCR. We talk disease or not disease? Is addiction just a symptom of the biological reasons? Rehab return rates and recovery percentages. We talk current approach issues, holistic approaches, scientific research, statistics, stories and experiences. Dr. Joan Collins is on the same mission—TO SAVE LIVES! A revolution needs to happen in addiction treatment and she is helping pioneer the way. As always I left my cognitive rampage loose -once during the show, but as always the sign off cognitive rampage sums it up.
Her approach focuses on a complete and biochemical approach to addiction recovery: targeting body, mind and spirit. A proven integrative treatment plan with a 85% success rate, including neurofeedback, nutrition and IV amino acid therapy. In light of neuroscientific and biochemical discoveries, which have uncovered the cause of addictions, plus advanced treatment techniques that are providing up to 91% long-term recovery rates, She has abandoned the concepts of shame, blame, and guilt which are prevalent in addiction recovery. Even dropping the use of “relapse as a part of recovery”. In contrast, Dr. Collins holds to the philosophy that addiction is a brain function disease (NOT the AMA-American Medical Association) definition of addiction disease. that is beyond conscious control and is fully curable. She believes in healing the addictive brain. “This is a lifestyle disease”-Dr. Joan Collins. -I happen to agree with her. She also shares a few amazing stories of overcoming cancer and addiction. Oh yeah, we talk about cancer-hold tighter! Do you know how and where chemotherapy treatment came from? I’ll tell you-it will scare the #@it out of you. Sorry. This show is more about hope and positivity than this sounds I promise.
I hope you’re taking care of you and living your Cognitive Rampage!
PS- The book (The Cognitive Rampage. a dose of authentic revelation- is looking like we might have an actual date – March 25th may just be it-or sooner! Holdfast! LOVE YOU!

Renee M. Gagnon, CEO of Cannabis Centre Inc (Canada). Founder and former CEO of Canada’s first five commercial mairijuana licenses. Inventor, Proud Supporter of Women Grow
Whether you’re Pro or Anti Marijuana, Co-op or Capitalist you need to listen to Renee’s ideals and philosophies about the business and future of marijuana. She changed how I talk about it now. PS- her resume in this business exceed most in the business.
A little background on Renee:
Back in 2013 Renee was able to secure an r&d license from the Canadian government which we then used to help apply for an MMPR license. MMPR is marijuana for medical purposes regulations and is the legal medical Cannabis program here. Her company, Thunderbird Biomedical was granted federal license no. 5. Then she took the company public on the TSX with a $25m valuation at IPO.
Renee has always intended to build a strong female led company and to challenge the typical boys club that is Corporate culture. She is the first transgender female CEO of a publicly traded marijuana company. Her latest venture, Cannabis Centre is poised to achieve all that and much more – but I will let her tell you more about CC.
She was one of the first online cigar retailers selling Cubans to Arnold Schwarzenegger, Michael Douglas, Dick Cheney back in the 90s. Renee is a serial entrepreneur and a leader in marijuana business and an inspiration to many.
